How to Add Rules Using the Rule Editor

Adding training pre-processing (PPX) rules:

1. In the KantanMT Dashboard, select the Training tab and click Rule Editor.
2. Select the text you would like to apply rules to - Source, Target or Mono. To apply the same rule to more than one area, copy and paste the rule after changing the text.
3. Enter some Test Content, and then write some Search and Replacement Rules.
4. Add new rules by clicking  or delete rules by clicking . Click Copy and Paste to perform relevant functions.
5. To apply a search pattern to your test content, ensure that the corresponding box is checked.
6. After testing the rules, upload them directly to the Training tab of your engine by clicking Save. The rules will apply at training stage.

Adding translation pre-processing (PPX) and/or post-editing rules:

1. In the KantanMT Dashboard, select the Translation tab and click Rule Editor.
2. Select the text to apply PPX rules to - Source or Target. To apply the same rule to more than one area, copy and paste the rule after changing the text.
3. Enter some Test Content, and then write some Search and Replacement Rules.
4. Add new rules by clicking  or delete rules by clicking . Click Copy and Paste to perform relevant functions.
5. To apply a search pattern to your test content, ensure that the corresponding box is checked.
6. After testing the rules, upload them directly to the Translation tab of your engine by clicking Save. The rules will apply at translation stage.
